TCO: Chapter Twenty-One

Malik graced the warriors' presence again as the group filed into his classroom, feigning innocence when asked what he had done to generate the attack in his classroom when the warriors were last present.

"That was really fantastic magic," said Hoshi.

"Magic, you say? You forget, San Hoshi, that I was on my way to Gawl Forest," Malik replied, his eyes glinting. "However, the occasion must have proved beneficial in your training because based on the report from Elder Master Syam, it appears that you now understand that telling you what you should know can interfere with discovering what you already know but thought that you didn't know. Is this correct?"

He chuckled quietly as he watched the group attempt to decipher his words. "Good, then we are all on the same page," he continued without waiting for a response. "Let's carry on, shall we? You never know when another attack will occur." He looked sharply around the room as if he anticipated something to happen.

The warriors, looking alarmed, immediately followed his gaze until they realized that Malik was teasing. Gyan caught Hoshi's eye and smiled, remembering what Jalena had said to them about the masters staging more attacks.

"Today I wanted to continue the discussion on light vibration.

"As you have learned in your classes with Master Jabari, vibration can be altered for action or yielding depending on the demands within the surrounding environment. However, it is important to note that they are not distinct energies. They are simply the mirror of opposites of the same energy that work in unity, which all living beings possess. If masculine or feminine energy does not dominate individual thought and behavior to the point that its counter is invalidated or denied, it is more adaptable to the environment. What do I mean by this?"

"That if one is more balanced in their energy, they have an easier time altering their thoughts, emotions, and behavior to manage a situation," said Gyan. "So, if masculine energy is needed then a warrior can alter their behavior to demonstrate that and if feminine energy is necessary, they could also demonstrate that without effort as well."

Malik nodded. "This practice is essential for maintaining and directing the energy within you so that you operate from a whole state of being. You cannot appropriately utilize power from a fragmented state.

"Now, let's discuss high versus low vibration that can be expressed with either of these energies. As you know from our discussions about vibration, as a light warrior, your light is inherent within your core. As a result, your vibration is naturally higher than those you will encounter during your assignments. Lower vibrations may dominate the self. Just as vibration can be raised, it can also be lowered. How high or how far it can fluctuate depends on the core light of a species as well as the conditions in which they reside. Those disconnected from a higher state of vibration become more vulnerable to darker influences and lower vibrational behaviors. Why do you believe that this occurs?"

"Illusion of power and lack of empathy?" Brogan guessed. "Believing that one can gain power without regard for others may cause someone to adopt dark practices."

Malik nodded.

Aderes cleared his throat. "Life experiences."

"Say more, San Aderes."

"If people are accustomed to living in lower vibrational experiences, it takes resilience to keep experiencing the same conditions and believe or behave in a way that does not reinforce similar conditions. I think that if one lives long enough in the dark it would be very difficult to maintain hope for change. If you don't even know there is the possibility of change, you just keep living what you know which would shadow or suppress any light, especially without knowledge of the light one has access too."

"Good," Malik stated. "Changing your vibrational frequency will lead to new action and yet, to live anything different, we must believe the results produced by action is possible. When you are in the presence of someone who is dominated by lower vibration, a variety of responses from others may occur. Some, battling with internal dissonance to do better, may understand that you have come to help and will embrace you with gratitude similar to your experience with those who reside in Yevani. Other civilizations will not be as accepting. Naturally, an enemy operating from dark energy will be threatened by you. However, those who would not consciously identify you as a threat may still behave in a rude or threatening manner simply because you make them feel uncomfortable as you trigger reminders of their potential—behaviors they wish they would embody but feel they cannot. At times, just due to your presence alone, you may incite acts of self-judgment and insecurity within those who are unconscious of what requires healing. Thus, remaining patient and unattached to behaviors is essential when on assignment.

"When facing solidified darkness, you will have to be less forgiving in your reach for a solution. When facing those who enjoy the promise of power that control over others yields, such as in Mordán's case, the light must not waiver. Therefore, discernment is required within a context in terms of type of energy –passive and yielding versus fierce and action-based, but also in the degree of light energy needed to manage a situation.

Malik paused as he surveyed the look of contemplation on the warriors' faces.

"Rest assured that this requires no cognitive effort for as you become familiar with your truth this awareness will automatize within you. You will not find yourself facing something greater than what you can manage; otherwise, it will not be placed in your path. Sometimes it will only take a small action to stir the rebellion of light that lingers and gathers momentum beneath the surface as all things trapped or encased already possess a desire to be free, even the light within. At other times, it will take your unified energy and directed focus to break through greater barriers. Regardless, the call of the light will always summon what is needed to be done to support the destiny of a light warrior."
